We are releasing two (yes, two!) prompts to celebrate the month of Love!

Funny Valentines Cards!

Your job is to make a Valentine’s Day card for a Chowling! Maybe it’s from another one of your Chowlings or maybe it’s from you to a Chowling you admire! In any case, make one from scratch!

Your card can also be from a Secret Admirer… how mysterious! Maybe one of your Chowlings admires them or maybe they have some secret feelings?

Lovely Valentines Activities!

Do they have a special someone who they would schedule a fancy dinner for? Are they single and like to spend their day hanging out with their platonic friends? Or are they the sort of Chow who wants nothing to do with the month of love!

Draw and/or write about it! What do they do during the most Loving day of the year?

Please remember to get an owners permission before drawing or writing about their Chowling!

PROMPTS

We will be releasing 3 entirely new Spooky Month-themed prompts within the month! These prompts will be released later in the month and cannot be entered until they are open. So until then, check ‘em out HERE to prepare!

When the prompts do become available to enter, you can submit to the prompts up to TWO times! These prompts will not only give out month-exclusive traits to customize your Sylphlings with but will ALSO automatically get you a raffle ticket for Peacock Spider made by our lovely guest artist Jypheran.

If you don't own a Sylph or Robu of your own, since there currently is no mascot available to use, utilize #sylphling-art-requests on our discord (LINK) to ask others if you can use their character for your prompt entry!

PROMPT ART RULES:

With September, comes a new prompt for you all:

Draw/write about your Sylphling or Robuprawn's favorite hobby!

What do they like to do to wind down or keep themselves busy during the upcoming cold months? Do they knit sweaters for their friends and family? Bake cookies or other confectionery goods? Spend time searching out their favorite collectibles? You tell us!

If you don't own a Sylph or Robu of your own, since there currently is no mascot available to use, utilize #sylphling-art-requests on the discord (LINK) to ask others if you can use their character for your prompt entry! Make sure to ask what kind of hobby their Sylph/Robu would enjoy so you can keep true to their character!

Art Rules:

- At least one Sylph/Robu in the drawing must be a colored fullbody - traditional or digital art is fine!
- The drawing should include at least a simple background.
- Artwork submitted must be new art created by you. It cannot be traced or made using templates or bases.

A strange Sylphling rises from the hidden depths of the ocean. Though their scales gleam like pearls and their robe is kissed by the salty sea waves, their eyes tell a sorrowful tale. Why does the maiden look so sad? They ready the harp, close their eyes, and begin to sing...

Everyone give a warm welcome to Sea Maiden! This lovely design even comes with its own familiar, a Seal Lyre!

They will be the DTA Design for this Mermay Event Month!

This lovely sylph was created by our wonderful mods Sprouts (Coolartcorner) and Nico (Neonslushie)

RULES:

• You can do multiple entries per person, but keep in mind that we look at the EFFORT put into the piece rather than the QUANTITY. The definition of effort is broad and subjective. It includes, but is not limited to, creativity, personality, and uniqueness.
• If you think you will do multiple entries, please submit them in one form to make it easier to organize for all of us! We recommend putting all of your entries in something like a Google drive link or sta.sh to organize them!
• All mediums are allowed: writing, digital, traditional, plushies, sculpts, animations, etc.
• You can draw the character interacting with other Sylphlings, as long as the owner gives permission
• You need a Sylphlings/Sushlings website account to enter (To receive your currency for participating!)
• Visual entries must be full body and colored.
• The winner will receive the Sylphling above AND all the art that was drawn of them! We will be putting all of the entries on Toyhouse to then give to the winner when it is decided. Please do not enter if you are not comfortable giving away your DTA entries to the winner.
• If you make a physical entry, you are not required to ship it to the winner. If you do not win, you may contact the winner and see if they would like to pay for postage to send it their way or send it to them yourself!
• This will end on the 31st of May at 12am (GMT+1). Please look up a time converter for your specific time zone! For example, this will end on the 31st of May at 7:00 pm EST!
• If you enter you will receive a 5 silver coin reward!  So everyone is a winner!

We know how hard it was to participate in the games without having a sushling and we hope that this will encourage everyone to participate deeper with our games! (And finally have a use for all those recipes you get from foraging haha!)

Remember that you still need to do the intro trial with Souta before the kitchen trial! and that you must not own any sushlings!

I received a sush after doing the intro trial with Souta but before the kitchen trial was done, do I need to redo the intro with my new sush?:
Yes! In order to participate in future games and events you need to do the intro with your sush anyway!

I have the same problem but it was after doing BOTH trials, do I need to do them both again?:
Since the kitchen trial can only be done once, nope! But you will need to do the intro with your new sush to participate in any future trials!

Foraging is being officially fixed today!

Our dev figured out that the influx of members broke it down and we needed to change how our timer works because a fix would only be extra work. So now instead of a midnight reset it will reset after each claim you make, after you claimed you have to wait 24 hours to forage again. Thanks for your patience, once Shrimp does the main art she has planned she will set her focus on adding more recipes and prizes to the foraging prize pool!

Good afternoon everyone! 

We have changed the way trials are approved, you can now refer to prompts under the “world” section on the navigation bar, here you find all you need to know about trials

Now errors can’t be made when it comes to collecting rewards.

On second hand, I figured people often made the same mistake regarding buying ovens once the kitchen trial is finished so now the first 2 ovens are free! There will be more cooking elements and different categories outside of the stove and oven sometime soon as well. I still ask people to go over the trial rules and not stock pile ingredients you don’t need when the reward money, it’s not gonna go anywhere and it’s best to buy ingredients the moment you need them instead of stock piling. The whole change of ovens being free also decreased the reward money.

The last note of this message is for people who have been worried about the difficulties of obtaining bronze: there is more content to come, but we ask people to be a bit patient when it comes down to our progress. All our games are still in beta testing such as foraging, the kitchen and the level system. I also wanted to remind people that our website game is not focused on a younger audience and is supposed to be a bit harder in game play, There is no reason to stress about it either as there will be more things to do which will give you more of a chance to obtain bronze, the houses are supposed to keep members busy and shouldn’t be level 100 by a few months because there is no fun in that from our perspective. All in all, do not worry! There are more fun games on our agenda including events where you can harvest bronze for your house!
